An 8.5km path from Trent University to Lakefield that was opened on July 5, 2000, to the general public. This trail was made possible thanks to the support of the Rotary Club; a club both Catherine and Ben have been a part of. It is a multi-use trail; cycling, walking, or you can host an event here and it is open year-round

Peterborough is incredibly lucky to be home to Canada's ONLY free accredited zoo. The zoo is open from 8:30 to dusk, year round. The regular operating season runs yearly from Victoria Day to Labour Day. During this season, visitors can enjoy the splash pad, or the miniature train ride (weather permitting), visit the animal exhibits, or explore the extensive playgrounds and giant slide.
